Founder
J. Matthew Tripi, PE received a Master of Engineering Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree from the Pennsylvania State University. His education included a broad study of many aspects of architectural engineering, including structural, mechanical, building envelope, building electrical, and acoustical engineering, as well as in-depth studies of structural systems, engineering mechanics, high-performance structures, composite materials, and strain measurement techniques.
Prior to founding Tripi Engineering Services, Mr. Tripi served as a Senior Engineer with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH) of Waltham, MA, an ENR 500 consulting engineering firm that applies advanced engineering to buildings and other structures. His duties there included structural design and forensic investigation of Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Residential buildings and structures. Prior to joining SGH, he served as a Construction Site Coordinator for Construction Program Management, Inc. of Scottsdale, AZ, where his duties included managing construction-site logistics for a $50 Million (1994 US Dollars) campus-wide expansion.
Mr. Tripi is a registered professional structural engineer in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania.
